Donald Lett

Donald Lee Lett, 90 of Scott City died Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017, at his home.

He was born March 27, 1927, in Cape Girardeau to Ernest and Gertrude Singleton Lett. He married Alvena Lillian Georger on Jan. 31, 1948. She preceded him in death June 14, 2009.

Donald worked for Florsheim Shoe Co. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

He is survived by three sons, Paul (Cheryl) Lett of Cincinnati, Kenneth (Dorothy) Lett of Scott City and Stanley (Darlene) Lett of St. Charles, Missouri; two sisters, Janet Drum and Ruth Gilmore of Houston; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

He also was preceded in death by a great-grandson.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. Parish prayers will be at 5 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with the Rev. Joe Weidenbenner officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Scott City.
