Donald Lee Gater, 51, of 1508 North Water, died Wednesday, May 6, 1992 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Gater was born Sept. 15, 1940 in Albuquerque, N.M. to the late Gilbert and Ella Woods Gater. On April 24, 1972, he married Lois Welker in Cape Girardeau. She survives.
He was of the Baptist faith.
Also surviving are a son, Donald J. Gater of Fort Bragg, N.C.; a daughter, Danette Greenwall of Grand Prairie, Texas; a brother, Jack Gater of Kent, Wash.; two half-brothers, Tom and Steve Conyers, also of Kent; and a sister, Mary Gater of Albuquerque.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Fairmount Cemetery in Cape Girardeau. There will be no visitation.
Officiating will be the Rev. S.S. Borum. Ford and Sons Sprigg Street chapel is in charge of arrangements.
