Donald E. Isaac, 82, of Cape Girardeau was welcomed home by the Heavenly Father on Friday, Oct. 23, 2015, at Southeast Hospital.
He was the first born son to George Eugene and Clara Gertrude Strack Isaac on Dec. 30, 1932, in Cape Girardeau. He and Donna Heise were united in the sacrament of marriage April 29, 1961, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee, Missouri.
Donald served his country in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955.
Donald worked for Southwestern Bell for 32 years. Donald was a loyal member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Cape Girardeau.
Loving survivors include his wife of 54 years, Donna Isaac; five children, John Isaac, Rebecca (David) Huber, Thomas (Xiaosong) Isaac, Kevin Isaac and Bradley (Leanne) Isaac; five grandchildren, Bridget Isaac, Brooke (Christopher) Elfrink, Dillon Huber, Bryce Isaac and Joni Isaac; two great-granddaughters, Tammy Brockmeier and Gianna Wright; two sisters, Clara Jean Rushing and Judy Isaac; 10 nieces and nephews; and 17 great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Clara; a brother, Wayne Isaac; in-laws, Melvin and Ruth Heise; brothers-in-law, Doc Rushing and Norman Spurlock; nieces, Kimberly Heise and Melanie Rushing; and nephew, Guy Rushing.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau. The rosary will be said at 7 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church in Cape Girardeau. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
