PERRYVILLE -- Donald Joseph Hayden, 70, of Perryville died Thursday, Nov. 13, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Dec. 10, 1926, at Brewer, son of Lon L. and Lunette Brewer Hayden. He and Jo Ann Lurk were married July 21, 1956.
Hayden retired as a self-employed candy distributor. He was a member of St. Vincent's Catholic Church, Holy Name Society, American Legion, and was a 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Theresa Unterreiner of Perryville; two sons, Jeff Hayden of Plano, Texas, Tim Hayden of Irving, Texas; two sisters, Elinor Greminger and Mary Greminger of Ste. Genevieve; three brothers, Ed "Red", Chalmer, and Bert Hayden, all of Perryville; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at Miller Family Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. Monday, and Tuesday from 6:30-9:50 a.m. The parish wake and KC service will be at 7 p.m. Monday, followed by American Legion service at 7:30. The rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Vincent's Church, with the Rev. Kevin Fausz officiating. Burial will be in St. Boniface Cemetery.
