MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Donald F. Confer, 71, of Grassy, Mo., and formerly of Connecticut, died Thursday, Nov. 30, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Nov. 17, 1929, in Battle Creek, Mich., son of Oren and Beatrice Preston Confer.
He was married to Claudette LaBeau. She preceded him in death.
He was a retired machinist from Pratt-Whitney Aircraft Manufacturing Co. in Connecticut and a veteran of the Navy.
Survivors include a son, Michael Confer of Grassy; two daughters, Debra Sama of Enfield, Conn., and Karen Confer of Windsor Lock, Conn.; a brother, Bob Confer of Boulder, Colo.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
There will be no visitation or funeral.
Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill is in charge of arrangements.
