Donald Evans

ORAN, Mo. -- Donald Ralph Evans, 81, of Oran passed away Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2019, at his home, surrounded by his family.

He was born Sept. 29, 1937, in Blodgett, Missouri, son of Ralph Samuel and Geraldine Fowler Evans. He and Irene Dowdy were united in marriage July 29, 1957.

Donald owned Evans Auction and Don's Furniture and More in Morley, Missouri. He was one of the original "American Pickers." He was of the Baptist Faith.

Don is survived by his wife, Irene Evans; daughters, Gail (Duane) Heisserer of Oran and Rhonda Tidwell of Morley; sister, Linda Taylor of Benton, Missouri; grandchildren, Kurt (Julie) Prindle of Oran, Ashley (Dan) Wheeler of Cape Girardeau, Brittney (Nathan) Seyer of Dexter, Missouri, and Crysten (Bradley) Uhrhan of Oran; stepgrandchildren, Brandon and Blane Tidwell, both of Advance, Missouri, and Brian Tidwell of Linden, Tennessee; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Kerry Tidwell; and brothers, Ben and Ed Evans.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
