Donald Howard Estes, 75, of Scott City died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011, at his home.
He was born Sept. 23, 1935, in Cape Girardeau, to Floyd Noel and Hazel B. Cowan Estes. He and Norma Louise Brant Kelly were married Sept. 15, 1980, at Benton, Mo.
He was an engineer with Cotton Belt Railroad.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Tracy (Elaine) Estes of Scott City; a daughter, Debbie (Scott) Graham of Jackson; a stepdaughter, Jo Ellen (Larry) Calhoun of Scott City; three brothers, Jack Estes of Perryville, Mo., Carl Estes of Scott City, Lloyd Estes of Benton; four sisters, Mary Nickless of Boonville, Ind., Shirleen Dalton of St. Louis, Arnell Carbaugh of Jackson, Becky Miles of Evansville, Ind.; four grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and 10 great-stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Friends may call from noon to service time March 26 at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. March 26 at the chapel, with the Rev. Mark Carbaugh officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery.
