He died Friday, Oct. 25, 1996, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born Nov. 7, 1956, at Cape Girardeau, son of Leroy L. and Patsy J. Clingingsmith Abernathy.

He was a graduate of Jackson High School.
Survivors include his parents of Jackson; a brother, Jon Mark Abernathy of Fruitland; and grandparents, Hazel Clingingsmith of Cape Girardeau and Bertha Abernathy of Jackson.
Funeral arrangements were handled by Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson.
