DELPHOS, Ohio -- Donald W. Cunningham, 70, of Delphos died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2008 at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima, Ohio. He was born March 31, 1937, son of Jesse Holmes and Evelyn Clodene (Hopper) Cunningham. They preceded him in death. He married Carol Bohn on March 23, 1958. She survives in Delphos...

DELPHOS, Ohio -- Donald W. Cunningham, 70, of Delphos died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2008 at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima, Ohio.

He was born March 31, 1937, son of Jesse Holmes and Evelyn Clodene (Hopper) Cunningham. They preceded him in death.

He married Carol Bohn on March 23, 1958. She survives in Delphos.

His main interest was his family, whom he loved dearly. He loved working on stained glass, collecting knives, fishing and bows and arrows.

He was a past deacon, Sunday school teacher and a lay speaker at Assembly of God Church. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and a lay speaker. He attended Cape Central High School, Southeast Missouri State University and classes at The Ohio State University and The University of Toledo.

He worked for Lima Telephone and Telegraph Company in Lima and then he was an auto mechanic instructor at Apollo Career Center. He was active in the VICA Program.

Other survivors are, two daughters, Julane (Greg) Williams of Van Wert, Ohio and Vanessa (Garry) From of Findlay, Ohio; two brothers, Joseph David (Nancy) Cunningham of Cape Girardeau and Ronald Gary (Linda) Cunningham of McClure, Ill.; four grandchildren, Heather (Adam) Marquiss, Adam Fuerst, and Ian and Amber From; and two great-grandchildren, Kendall and Rylynn Marquiss.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Harter and Schler Funeral Home in Delphos.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Trinity United Methodist Church in Delphos. Dave Howell and John Medaugh will officiate.

Burial will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church.
