BERTRAND -- Donald Adams, 83, of Bertrand Route 1, died Saturday, Dec. 21, 1991, at East Prairie Nursing Center.
He was born Aug. 1, 1908 in Charleston, Ill., to Guy and Jessie Snyder Adams.
He was employed with Brown Shoe Co. in Charleston, Mo., until his retirement in 1970. He had lived in Mississippi County for a numnber of years.
He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Air Force.
On June 6, 1941, he married Ruth Palmer, who survives of the home.
Also surviving are one son, Philip Adams of Sprinfield, Ill., a daughter, Iris Carpenter of Danville, Ill.; and two grandchildren.
One brother and one sister preceded him in death.
Friends may call after 11 a.m. today at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, Mo., until time of the funeral.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today at the funeral chapel with the Rev. Robert Burke officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery near Charleston.
