DONA M. HARTUNG

KIRKWOOD -- Dona M. Hartung, 83, of Kirkwood and formerly of Fornfelt, died May 15, 1993, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Kirkwood.

She was born June 29, 1909, in Fornfelt to John Courtney Payne and Lucinda Edna Johnson Payne. They preceded her in death. She lived in Fornfelt until moving to St. Louis in 1943.

She was married to Henry Hartung, who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by three daughters, Pauline Schlarman and Peggy Haug, both of Kirkwood, and Clara Albus of St. Joseph; one son, Harley Hartung of Caledonia; two sisters, J.C. Payne of Cape Girardeau and Idalene Head of Scott City; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

No visitation will be held in Kirkwood. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel.

Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.
