Dolores Catherine Ziegler, 70, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, March 5, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center. She was born Nov. 12, 1929, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Anton J. and Emma Burger Ziegler. Dolores was retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company as a records clerk for 35 years. She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral, St. Mary's Bereavement Dinner Committee, St. Mary's Council of Catholic Women, and Southwestern Bell Telephone Pioneers Club...

Dolores Catherine Ziegler, 70, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, March 5, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born Nov. 12, 1929, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Anton J. and Emma Burger Ziegler.

Dolores was retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company as a records clerk for 35 years. She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral, St. Mary's Bereavement Dinner Committee, St. Mary's Council of Catholic Women, and Southwestern Bell Telephone Pioneers Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a twin sister.

Her survivors include two brothers, Arthur L. Ziegler of Benton and Anthony P. Ziegler of O'Fallon; two nephews, Randy Ziegler of Benton and Michael Ziegler of Rolla; three nieces, Lisa Walker and Lori Schwepker of St. Charles, and Ada Ree Neely of Oak Ridge; two godchildren, Lucinda Klipfel of Scott City and Todd Gammon of St. Louis; a very special friend, Sister Clarita, SSND, of St. Louis; three great-nephews; four great-nieces; and two great-great-nieces.

Visitation for Miss Ziegler will be today from 4:30-8 p.m. with parish prayers by Msgr. Richard Rolwing at 7 p.m. at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel in Cape Girardeau.

The Funeral Mass will be Friday, March 10, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Cathedral, with Father Randolph Tochtrop officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.

The family requests donations to St. Mary's Catholic School or the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
