Dolly Schlue

Virginia Lee "Dolly" Schlue, at the age of 90, was called to her heavenly home Sunday, July 23, 2017.

She was born April 5, 1927, the 10th of 12 children born to Harry Francis Schlue and Genevieve Elizabeth Bowman-Schlue.

She was a graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School and a lifelong resident of Cape Girardeau.

She was employed for many years with Libson's Shop, working her way from a floor clerk to a district manager of 10 stores within the tri-state area.

Her main focus and love was her family. When she was not on the road with her work, she had a car full of kids going out for a treat. After her retirement, she spent her time taking care of nieces and nephews and loving every minute.

She was preceded in death by her parents; the love of her life, Eddy Esicar; five brothers; and six sisters.

She is survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews she considered her own.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be at noon Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation to one of Dolly's favorite charities, Habitat for Humanity, Salvation Army or Feed the Children.
