ADVANCE, Mo. -- Dolly Lou Davault, 80, of Advance passed away Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Feb. 26, 1939, in Sikeston, Missouri, the daughter of Cecil Marion and Edwardean Harris Cowger.
Dolly had been a homemaker and ran the family farm. She was a member of Advance Church of Christ. Church was very important to Dolly and she was always an active member; the last year was very hard on her not being able to attend due to her health.
Dolly had also been a Girl Scout Leader. She loved to sew, cook and travel. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. Her family was the most important and she loved them very much.
Dolly and Gary Davault were united in marriage Oct. 24, 1953, at Tunica, Mississippi, and he survives at the home.
Survivors include her husband, Gary Davault; two sons, Gary (Donna) Davault of Advance and Mike Davault of Advance; a daughter, Teresa Stacy of Advance; a sister, Joyce Hollis of Florence, Alabama; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Randy Davault; two infant daughters; and a brother, James Cowger.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.
A funeral service will be held at noon Wednesday at the chapel with Randy Fuller officiating. Burial will follow at Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
