EAST PRAIRIE -- Dollie L. Moore, 91, of East Prairie died Monday, March 2, 1998, at East Prairie Nursing Center.
She was born Aug. 1, 1906, at Caruthersville, daughter of Jack and Elizabeth Cathey Chanley. She and William A. Moore Sr. were married June 30, 1934. He died June 24, 1951.
Moore had lived in Immokalee, Fla., many years, returning to East Prairie during the past year.
Survivors include a son, Jesse Mendenhall of West Plains; six daughters, Georgia Kemp of Immokalee, Agnes Walker of Winter Haven, Fla., Letha Roberds of Hillsboro, Willie Norman, Patsy Thomas and Laura Russell of East Prairie; two stepsons, William Moore of East Prairie, Ralph Moore of Pekin, Ill.; two stepdaughters, Genieve Decker of East Prairie, Alice Stallings of Crystal City; a sister, Marie Ray of Tchula, Miss.; 40 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, a son, three brothers, and a sister.
Friends may call at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie after 4 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Pastor Steve Johnson officiating. Burial will be in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
