Dola B. Dailey, 90, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, May 23, 1997, at Fountainbleau Lodge. She was born Sept. 28, 1906, in Whitleyville, Tenn., daughter of Asa and Ida Poteet Brown. She and Floyd E. Dailey were married Sept. 27, 1925, in Arkansas. He died April 5, 1963...

Dola B. Dailey, 90, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, May 23, 1997, at Fountainbleau Lodge.

She was born Sept. 28, 1906, in Whitleyville, Tenn., daughter of Asa and Ida Poteet Brown. She and Floyd E. Dailey were married Sept. 27, 1925, in Arkansas. He died April 5, 1963.

Dailey was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff.

Survivors include four sons, Billy Dailey of Poplar Bluff, Eugene Dailey of Glen Allen, Laverne Dailey of Marble Hill, Floyd Dailey of Wood River, Ill.; four daughters, Martha Sherrill of Eufaula, Ala., Betty Cloninger of Alton, Ill., Carolyn Barlow of Cape Girardeau, Beatrice Brown of St. Charles; two brothers, Carlos Brown of St. Louis, Glen Brown of Cross Timbers; a sister, Mary Shiek of Apopka, Fla.; 26 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, two sisters, two brothers, a grandson, and a great-grandson.

Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill from 5-8:30 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Glen Fox and Jim Lea officiating. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery at Marble Hill.
