SIKESTON, Mo.— Divola Walberg, 98, of Sikeston died Monday, Nov. 17, 2008, at Clearview Nursing Center. She was born June 15, 1910, in Matthews, Mo., daughter of William Lottie and Ida M. Black Phillips. She and Ernest Cox were married Dec. 16, 1924. She and Arthur O. Walberg were married June 21, 1969. He died in 1981...

SIKESTON, Mo.— Divola Walberg, 98, of Sikeston died Monday, Nov. 17, 2008, at Clearview Nursing Center.

She was born June 15, 1910, in Matthews, Mo., daughter of William Lottie and Ida M. Black Phillips. She and Ernest Cox were married Dec. 16, 1924. She and Arthur O. Walberg were married June 21, 1969. He died in 1981.

Walberg was store manager at A&A Discount in Chicago before moving to Sikeston. She was a member of Sikeston Community Church.

Survivors include a son, Jere Cox of Sikeston; three brothers, John Phillips of Scott City, Raymond Phillips of Sebring, Fla., Benny Phillips of Lake Okeechobee, Fla.; a sister, Delorse Cook of Sikeston; a granddaughter; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a grandson.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Randall Morse officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
