Charles Richard "Dick" Ross went to Heaven for Christ's birthday celebration Saturday, Dec. 25, 2021.
Dick was born Jan. 14, 1943, in Albany, Missouri, to Thornton and Golda Siddens Ross.
He had a brother, Bill, of Fenton, Missouri, and a sister, Mary Shepard, of Jackson. He was married to Marica Ashlock, and they had five children, Kris (Danita) of Fenton; Chad of Darlington, Missouri; Rich (Julie) of House Springs, Missouri; Sherry (Nick) Trayanoff of Fenton; and Dana Long of Darlington. There are 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, five nephews and a niece.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, two sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law.
He was a founding member of Gateway Christian Church in St. Louis.
Dick was loved by everyone who knew him. He was kind and usually had a smile while telling you that you were "good good good." He loved singing, listening to music, playing checkers, cards and bingo, eating sweets, working at the shop and worshiping God. Even as a disabled adult, he was able to touch people's lives. Thanks to all the caregivers for their dedication and the care given.
There are no services planned at this time.
Arrangements are by McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
