Dianne Surface

Dianne Lynne Surface, 72, of Delta passed away Monday, Dec. 17, 2018, at Bertrand Nursing and Rehab Center in Bertrand, Missouri, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born Sept. 29, 1946, in Gideon, Missouri, to the late Lonnie and Wanda Lou Harford Hodges. She married Jerry Ray Surface on March 14, 1965, and he preceded her in death Sept. 30, 1999.

Dianne was a retired leasing agent. She was also a retired seamstress for Thorngate Ltd. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Delta.

She is survived by a son, Jerry Wayne (Debbie) Surface of Benton, Missouri; a daughter, Lisa Deann Eftink, and partner, Bardis Dismuke III, of Sikeston, Missouri; a brother, Butch Hodges of Idaho Falls, Idaho; three grandchildren, James "Jim" (Lisa) Eftink, Jesse Surface and Nathan (Lindsey) Surface; and a great-grandchild, Carli Rose Eftink.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, Missouri.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jim Matthews officiating. Burial will be at Kenyon Cemetery in Delta.
