Diane Marie Callin passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2016, at Summa, Akron City, Ohio. She was born in Berea, Ohio, on Nov. 30, 1957.

She graduated from Titusville High School in Florida in 1976 and Southeast Missouri State University in 1981 with a degree in early childhood and elementary education.

Teaching was a passion of hers for many years.

She moved back to Ohio in the early 2000s, where she found a new career working for her brother, plus continuing to care for small children who knew her as Aunt Di-Di.

She will be remembered for her huge heart and compassion for others, which was her greatest asset and joy.

No matter the circumstances, she was everyone's "Go-to Girl."

She is lovingly survived by her daughter, Shannon (Greg) Bain; two sons, Sean Fee and Stephen Callin; mother, Julia Gronowski Holmes and the late Arthur Holmes; three brothers, Gary (Donna) Gronowski, David (Karen) Gronowski and Mark (Caroline) Gronowski; three sisters, Sheree Wires, Karen (Randall) Downing and Bonnie (Brian) Lynch; grandchildren, Mason Spradlin, Emerson Bain, and Grant Callin; plus numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by Tim Fee, the father of her children.

Celebration of Life service will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Ciriello & Carr Funeral Home, 39 S. Miller Road, Fairlawn, OH 44333.

Date will be announced for service for family and friends in Cape Girardeau.
