Diane Barta-Kaczmarek

Diane M. Barta-Kaczmarek, 67, of Cape Girardeau passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at her home.

She was born Nov. 2, 1948, in Douglas, Nebraska, the daughter of Frank and Ethel Goodman Barta. She and Steven Kaczmarek were married for 25 years.

Diane was a loving wife and mother. She was a fantastic grandmother and was an amazing seamstress, able to sew three-piece suits and even made Becky’s wedding dress.

Loving survivors include her husband, Steve Kaczmarek; a daughter, Becky (Ken) Wall of Papillion, Nebraska; a son, Fred (Jen) Sigmond of Atlanta; two brothers, George and Rick Barta, both of Omaha, Nebraska; and a sister, Bonnie (Dave) McLure. Also surviving are five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.

A committal service will be at a later date in Fort McPherson National Cemetery in Maxwell, Nebraska.
