WOLF LAKE, Ill. -- Dewey G. Wilson, 102, of Wolf Lake died Monday, April 16, 2001, at Jonesboro Health Care Center in Jonesboro, Ill.
He was born July 24, 1898, in the Beech Grove community of Union County, Ill., son of Calvin and Emma Stone Wilson. He and Caroline Rendleman were married Oct. 1, 1923, in Marion, Ill. She died Nov. 18, 1989.
Wilson owned and operated several businesses in Wolf Lake from the early 1920s to the late 1960s. He was a member of Wolf Lake United Methodist Church and Jonesboro Masonic Lodge 111 AF&AM.
Survivors include a daughter, Ann West of Jonesboro; a son, Dan Wilson of Wolf Lake; a sister, Stella Groves of Anna, Ill.; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, four brothers, and an infant sister.
Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna from 6-8 p.m. today. A Masonic service will be held at 7.
Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The Rev. John Prather will officiate. Burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery.
