DEWEY GREEN

PATTON -- Dewey Lester Green, 83, of Patton died Friday, Jan. 23, 1998, at his home.

He was born Jan. 13, 1915, at Patton, son of Levi and Minnie May Bollinger Green. He married Mildred Johnson on Dec. 4, 1937. She died April 26, 1980. He married Beatrice Jo Cook on April 30, 1983. She died July 17, 1996.

He was a farmer and had worked many years in the timber business. He was a member of the Little Whitewater Missionary Baptist Church.

He is survived by two daughters, Betty Devenport of Marble Hill and Connie Macklin of Patton; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons, a brother and sister.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Liley Funeral Home in Patton. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Randy Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Patton Cemetery.
