CHARLESTON -- Funeral service for Dewey G. Thompson, Charleston Route 1, will be held at 11 a.m. today at McMikle Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Lawrence Ray will officiate, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Thompson, 78, died Sunday, April 11, 1993, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born June 28, 1914, in Charleston, son of Charles E. and Lillie Savannah Patrick Thompson. He and Norma A. Black were married June 29, 1940. She died Aug. 15, 1974.
Thompson was a retired farmer, member of Gravel Ridge Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge 407 AF&AM.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Castillon of St. Louis; a brother, Ancil Thompson, Charleston, and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, three brothers and two sisters.
