SIKESTON, Mo. -- Dessie Mae Johnson, 53, of Sikeston died Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2000, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
She was born July 12, 1947, in Tunica, Miss., daughter of Curtis and Odessie McKinney Williams.
Johnson formerly worked at McDonnell Douglas Aircraft in St. Louis. She was a member of Eastern Star in St. Louis.
Survivors include two sons, Oscar Johnson Jr. and Micheal Johnson of St. Louis; three brothers, Earnest Williams of St. Louis, Charlie Williams of Springfield, Mo., Lee Williams of Portland, Ore.; two sisters, Betty Robinson and Mary Banks of Sikeston; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran, Mo., from 6-7 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Green Memorial Church of Christ in Sikeston. Bishop Charlie Green will officiate. Burial will be in New Morning Star Cemetery at Haywood City, Mo.
