MARBLE HILL -- Funeral for Dessie Mae Gaither of Rancho Cordova, Calif., will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Hutchings Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Gerald Huff will officiate, with burial in Baker Cemetery.
Friends may call at the chapel Thursday from 10 a.m. to service time.
Gaither, 103, died Wednesday, Feb. 18, 1998, at Casa Coloma Nursing Home in Rancho Cordova.

She was born Feb. 18, 1895, at Cane Creek, daughter of Jacob and Ruey Abernathy. She and Roy S. Gaither were married July 10, 1914. He died May 11, 1968.
Survivors include a son, Warren Gaither of Rancho Cordova; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two children, and four brothers and sisters.
