Dennis Ulrich

Dennis Wesley Ulrich, 71, of Waverly, Tennessee, passed away, Thursday, Dec. 15, 2022, at his home.

He was born Nov. 13, 1951, in Cape Girardeau, son of Nelson and Virginia Lee Winkler Ulrich. He and Sharon Watson were married May 25, 1974, at Christ Lutheran Church in Gordonville.

Dennis was a 1970 graduate of Jackson High School. He graduated from The University of Missouri — "Mizzou" — with a degree in forestry. He was an avid Mizzou football fan.

Loving survivors include his wife, Sharon; three children, Shelby (Stephen) Padgett of Cottageville, South Carolina, Justin (Rebecca) Ulrich of Spring Hill, Tennessee, and Garrett Ulrich of Waverly; and four grandchildren, Austin and Brantley Padgett and Ayden and Vivian Ulrich.

Also surviving are a brother, Rick (Cathi) Ulrich of Southport, North Carolina, and sister, Julie (Jason) Mouser of Jackson.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2022, at Christ Lutheran Church in Gordonville.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, at the church, with the Rev. Jacob May officiating. Interment will follow in Christ Lutheran Church Cemetery.

The family suggests contributions to Wheaties Kids of the Elks Lodge in Waverly, Tennessee.
