PATTON, Mo. -- Dennis Earl Poole, 74, of Patton died Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Feb. 7, 1940, in Olive Branch, Illinois, to George and Lorraine Mansfield Poole.
Dennis served his country honorably in the United States Air Force, enlisting in February 1957 and retiring in August 1977. He continued his career as a civil service maintenance worker at an air base more than 20 years.
Survivors include two sons, Roger Dennis Poole of Stockton, California, and Douglas Edward Poole of Lodi, California; a daughter, Tammy Poole Bass of Beaverton, Oregon; three grandchildren; a brother, Dale Poole of Olive Branch; a sister, Sandy Bedwell of Cape Girardeau; good friends and neighbors, John and Kim Hellebusch of Patton; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside military honors will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Mound City National Cemetery in Mound City, Illinois.
