Dennis Ray Brown, 60, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Nov. 8, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 19, 1938, at Charleston, son of Claude "Buddy" and Evelyn Hubbard Brown. He and Judy Pind were married Sept. 19, 1959, in Cape Girardeau.
Brown was a 1956 graduate of Central High School, and attended Southeast Missouri State University.
He was employed by Southwestern Bell 33 years, Heartland Telephone two years, and at Southeast University two years. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and Telephone Pioneers. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Kevin Brown of Brighton, Mich.; a daughter, Debbie Farrow of Jackson; his mother of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, John Brown of Cape Girardeau, Mike Brown of St. Louis; and two grandsons.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Brendan Dempsey officiating. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum.
