MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Dennis Gene Brown, 52, of Marble Hill passed away Dec. 4, 2010, at Woodland Hills Nursing Home in Marble Hill. Born Feb. 7, 1958, in Lutesville, Mo., he was the son of Floyd Edgar and Virginia Alta Marie Crites Brown. A graduate of Woodland High School in 1976, he lived in Houston for more than 30 years, working in banking and security. ...

MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Dennis Gene Brown, 52, of Marble Hill passed away Dec. 4, 2010, at Woodland Hills Nursing Home in Marble Hill.

Born Feb. 7, 1958, in Lutesville, Mo., he was the son of Floyd Edgar and Virginia Alta Marie Crites Brown.

A graduate of Woodland High School in 1976, he lived in Houston for more than 30 years, working in banking and security. He returned to Bollinger County in 2004. A church musician, he played for services at Locust Grove Baptist Church and United Pentecostal Church in Cape Girardeau. Recently he attended Lutesville General Baptist Church.

He is survived by a brother, Frank Brown of Valmeyer, Ill., and a nephew, Tony Brown, of Marble Hill. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jimmy Brown.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill.

Funeral services will begin at 7 p.m., with the Rev. Darrell Faire officiating. Inurnment will follow at a later date at Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill.
