ANNA, Ill. -- Dennis L. Bridgeman, 85, of Anna, died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2000, at his home. He was born May 1, 1914, near Alto Pass, son of Roy and Ollie Godwin Bridgeman. He married Nadine Forby Dec. 4, 1936 in Wickliffe, Ky. She died Oct. 1, 1994...

ANNA, Ill. -- Dennis L. Bridgeman, 85, of Anna, died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2000, at his home.

He was born May 1, 1914, near Alto Pass, son of Roy and Ollie Godwin Bridgeman. He married Nadine Forby Dec. 4, 1936 in Wickliffe, Ky. She died Oct. 1, 1994.

Bridgeman was a retired carpenter and farmer, and was a member of Carpenters Local #638 in Marion. He was a member of Anna Church of the Nazarene.

Survivors include a daughter, Caroline Olson of Jonesboro; two sons, Doug Bridgeman of Anna , Rex Bridgeman of Cobden; a sister, Bonnie Sweet of Anna.; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by a son, an infant daughter, a sister, and a brother.

Friends may call at Lutz & Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna from 6 to 8 p.m. today, and from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at Anna Church of the Nazarene.

Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Anna Church of the Nazarene, with the Rev. Ralph Lee officiating. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.
