Dennis Break

Dennis R. Break, 70, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Oct, 20, 2021, at Southeast Hospital.

He was born Jan. 1, 1951, in Cape Girardeau to Calvin and Virginia Borchelt Break.

He was a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University.

He loved to fish.

Dennis was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include a daughter, Erica Smith of Cape Girardeau; mother, Virginia Break of Cape Girardeau; brother, Calvin "Bob" Break Jr. of Manchester, Missouri; niece, Kayla (Kenny) McWay of Manchester; two grandchildren, Zachary (Chan) Smith of Jackson and Tallon Smith of Cape Girardeau; and a great-grandchild, Ivory Smith.

Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Calvin Break.

A memorial visitation was held Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church.

It was followed by a graveside service at the Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum with the Rev. Paul Short officiating.

Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
