SEDGEWICKVILLE, Mo. -- Denni-Jeanne Layman, 56, of Sedgewickville died Saturday, June 17, 2000, at her home.

She was born Aug. 8, 1943, in Granite City, Ill., daughter of Miller Augustus and Dorothy Louis Painter Burckhartt. She and Darrell Layman were married Aug. 19, 1971, in Alton, Ill.

She was a secretary in the construction industry.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Christine McGovern of Sedgewickville; two brothers, Larry Burckhartt of Hollywood, Fla., and Fred Burckhartt of Moweaqua, Ill.; a sister, Jackie Warner of St. Louis; and three grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel, with Charlie Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
