PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Delvin A. Kaempfe, 63, of Perryville died Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2000, at his home.
He was born Aug. 29, 1937, in Perry County, Mo., son of Alfred and Esther Koenig Kaempfe. He and Norma J. Detjen were married Aug. 22, 1959.
Kaempfe was a grain and dairy farmer. He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church at Farrar, Mo., and its finance committee, a trustee, and school board member. He was a member of American Legion Post 133, National Guard, and other service groups.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Roger Kaempfe of Frohna, Mo.; Kevin, Neal and Merlin Kaempfe of Perryville; a daughter, Glenda Kaempfe of St. Louis; his father of Perryville; two brothers, William Kaempfe of Frohna, Dennis Kaempfe of Perryville; a sister, Margaret Weber of Perryville; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 5-9 p.m. Friday, and Saturday from 6:30-8:15 a.m.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Salem Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Robert Schneider officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
