Deloris M. Neace, 78, of Jackson died Tuesday, April 28, 2020, at the Lutheran Home.

She was born Oct. 1, 1941, in Illmo to Floyd and Doretta Sprenger Uelsmann. She and Charles E. Neace were married May 30, 1959, at Oak Ridge. He preceded her in death Aug. 26, 1993.

She was baptized Oct. 26, 1941, at Eisleben Lutheran Church in Scott City. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson.

Deloris went to Oak Ridge High School.

She worked at the Southeast Missourian for several years and Walmart in Jackson, retiring in February 2008.

She loved to decorate outside her home with flowers, spending time with family and sitting on her porch visiting with friends, and loved her granddog, Duke.

Survivors include a daughter, Vickie (Rodney) Kinder of Benton, Kentucky; son, Edward Neace of Deer Park, Washington; sister, Sharon Smith of Scott City; brother, Melvin (Loretta) Uelsmann of Jackson; grandchildren, Breanna Kinder, Landon Kinder and Dane Neace; and great-grandchildren, Oliver and Chaylea Neace.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Due to current gathering restrictions, a private graveside service will be held today at Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. Joshua Schmidt officiating.

Memorial contributions may be given to Ford and Sons Funeral Home, 1001 N. Mount Auburn Road, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701.
