DELORIS "DEE" BURCHYETT

GRAND TOWER, Ill. -- Deloris "Dee" Burchyett, 62, of Grand Tower, died Friday, May 15, 1998, at her residence.

She was born Feb. 18, 1936, at Thebes, daughter of Marion V. and Senie Morris Craig.

She married Don Burchyett Aug. 7, 1953, at McClure. He survives.

She was one of the original members of the Shawnee Trio and remained a member of the group for more than 40 years. She attended First Baptist Church in Grand Tower.

Other survivors include two sons, Steven Burchyett of Hillsboro and Jeff Burchyett of Arvada, Colo.; a daughter, Christine Brewer of Lebanon; a brother, James Craig of Anna; a sister, Linda Hency of Cassopolis, Mich; and two granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.

Service will be held Tuesday at noon at First Baptist Church in Grand Tower, with the Revs. Don Grammar, Lee Wagoner and Kathryn Wagoner, officiating. Interment will be at Lindsey Cemetery at McClure.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. Monday at Meredith Funeral Chapel in Grand Tower.
