Delores A. Raub, age 87, of Olive Branch, Ill., formerly of Mounds, Ill., died at 11:53 a.m. Friday, Jan. 14, 2011, at Chateau Girardeau in Cape Girardeau.
Mrs. Raub was born Oct. 12, 1923, in Cairo, Ill., daughter of the late Victor Honey and Edith Jones Honey.
Delores attended St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mound City, Ill., and was a secretary for the Pulaski County Housing in Mounds. She was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include her husband, Edward W. Raub of Olive Branch; a son, Michael E. Raub of Champaign, Ill.; a daughter, Vickie Raub (Michael Womack) of Memphis, Tenn.; a sister, Mary Claire Moses of Indianapolis; two special friends, Clay and Cabrini Bierbaum and family of Mound City.
Funeral services for Delores Raub will be 1 p.m. Monday at Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge, Ill., with the Rev. Larry Buckles officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Mounds, with full military honors given by the Illinois National Guard Honor Details and area veterans.
Friends may call between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge.
