Delores Ann Owen, 91, of Cape Girardeau went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2023, at Chateau Girardeau Health Center.

She was born Sept. 1, 1931, in Indianapolis to Morris and Ruth Marshall Ellis. She and Donovan Everett Owen were married April 4, 1950, in Plainfield, Indiana.

Delores accompanied her husband, Don, on the piano as he sang, serving as music ministers in many churches throughout the years, including Lynwood Baptist Church Cape Girardeau and First Baptist Church Jackson. Delores retired at the age of 85 years old. She was an excellent seamstress and loved to knit. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her husband; son, Chris Owen of Jackson; four daughters, Teri Crain of Cape Girardeau, Donna Cardin of Cape Girardeau, Debbie Beussink of Jackson and Susan Seawel of Cape Girardeau; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Delores was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jim Matthews officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Memorial contributions may be given to Salvation Army or Adult and Teen Challenge.
