SIKESTON -- Delores "Dee" Comer, 73, of Sikeston, died Tuesday, Oct. 12, 1993, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
She was born Feb. 12, 1920, in Indiana, daughter of Clarence L. and Matilda Fern Carter Dowden Sr. She and Guy B. Comer were married April 19, 1946. He died Nov. 6, 1992.
Comer had worked at the Bank of Sikeston 21 years, and had worked at Heritage House. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Beta Sigma Phi, member and past worthy matron of Order of Eastern Star, and received the Harvest Award from Sikeston Chamber of Commerce.
Survivors include two sons, Gregory and Geoffrey Comer of Sikeston; two brothers, Richard Dowden of Columbus, Ohio, Clarence Dowden Jr. of Georgetown, Texas, and four grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Charles Buck will officiate, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Friends may call at Ponder Funeral Home after 5 p.m. Thursday.
