WYATT -- Delmer Lee Smith, 42, of Dallas, Texas, died Friday, July 22, 1994, in a drowning accident. He was formerly of Wyatt.
He was born Sept. 6, 1951, in Winderville, son of Thatus and Bedella Walker Smith.
Smith was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church in Henson. He had lived in Texas more than 12 years.
Survivors include his wife, Robbin; two stepchildren; seven brothers, Luther Smith of Washington Park, Ill., James and Audrey Smith of Carlyle, Ill., Thatus Smith Jr. of Omaha, Neb., Jewell Smith of Peoria, Ill., Larry Smith of Arlington, Texas, Gary Smith of Chester, Ill.; seven sisters, Stella Shackleford of Bartelso, Ill., Thelma Smith of Carlyle, Carliss Sager and Shirley Burke of Aurora, Ill., Fannie Smith of Naperville, Ill., Linda Suggs of Centralia, Ill., and Irene Acoff of St. Louis.
Funeral srevice will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Sparks Funeral Home in Charleston, with the Rev. William Watson officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 11 a.m. Saturday.
