MARBLE HILL -- Delma Fern Phelps, 89, of Marble Hill, died Wednesday, May 3, 1995, at Bond Nursing Care Center.

She was born Oct. 5, 1905, at Gravel Hill, daughter of Aaron and Teletha Crader Helderman. She and Norman Phelps were married Aug. 12, 1930, at Van Buren.

Phelps had been a teacher at the former Burfordville, Stroder Branch and Liberty Schools. The Phelps also owned and operated Patton Produce Co., moving to Marble Hill in 1968 from Patton.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church at Marble Hill and its United Methodist Women, Victory Chapter 431 Order of Eastern Star, and a General Federation Women's Club.

Survivors include her husband.

She was preceded in death by a sister, two half brothers and three half sisters.

Friends may call at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today. An Eastern Star service will be held at 7:30.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Michael Woods and Virgil Bunch officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
