CHARLESTON -- Dellon Evans, 72, formerly of Charleston, a resident of Holts Summitt, Mo., died Friday, Dec. 17, 1993 at his home.
He was born Feb. 12, 1921 at Wolf Island, son of the late William Henry Evans and Helen Couch who lives at Anna, Ill.
He had lived in the Jefferson City area since 1960, was a member of the First Baptist Church in Jefferson City, Jefferson Lodge 43 of Jefferson City and the Scottish Rite of St. Louis.
He had been employed as a driver for the John Morrell Meat Co until his retirement in 1979.
He was first married to Martha Fox, who survives of Jefferson City. In 1986, he married Carolyn Sue Jenkins, who survives of Holts Summit.
Other survivors are two daughters, Carol Evans of Columbia and Marsha Tremaine, Jefferson City; two step-daughters, Angela DeRosa, Clearwater, Fla., and Renee Lee of Pensacola, Fla.; one sister, Josephine Ogborn, Anna, Ill.; one half-sister, Louise Farris, Anna, Ill.; and one grandson.
Friends may call after 10 a.m. Monday at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston where funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Gerald Collier, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Charleston, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
