Della Strop

BENTON, Mo. -- Della Marcella Strop, 87, of Benton died Thursday, Oct. 22, 2015 at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Sept. 24, 1928, in Perkins, Missouri, to Lloyd and Leona Marcus Armstrong. She and Gilbert Daniels were married Oct. 2, 1943, in Oran, Missouri. He passed away March 8, 1991. She then married Jimmy Strop on April 10, 1998, in Benton.

Della was a medication technician in health care.

She was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Strop of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Jane LeGrand of Benton; and brother, Frank Armstrong of Puxico, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband; a son, Ronnie Daniels; a brother; and three sisters.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Daniel Stevens officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer's Association.
