BLOOMFIELD -- Funeral service for Delfis H. Robey of Sikeston will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Don Embry will officiate, with burial in Walker Cemetery near here.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. today.
Robey, 70 years old, died Wednesday, April 3, 1991, at his home.
He was born Nov. 5, 1920, at Avert, son of Mart and Eliza Robey. He and the former Ada Morlan were married Aug. 12, 1939.
Robey retired from Brown Sand and Gravel in Dexter in 1989, and moved to Sikeston in 1990. He was affiliated with Fellowship Baptist Church at Sikeston. He served with the U.S. Army in Germany during World War II.
Survivors include a son, Delfis M. Robey of Sikeston; a daughter, Frankie Sullins of Sikeston; a brother, Curtis Robey of Bloomfield; three sisters, Hazel Reed of Flint, Mich., Opal Williams of Waterford, Mich, Molly Cook of Cadillac, Mich.; three grandchildren; two great-granddaughters, and three stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Ralph, Basil and A.D. Robey.
