OLMSTED, Ill. -- Delbert W. Britt, 74, of Olmsted, died Tuesday, July 20, 1993, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He was born Sept. 14, 1918, at Olmsted, son of Jackson R. and Grace Corzine Britt. Britt was formerly site superintendent with Noble-Redman Construction Co. He was a member of Olmsted United Methodist Church, Mounds VFW Post, and Disabled American Veterans. He was a veteran of World War II...

OLMSTED, Ill. -- Delbert W. Britt, 74, of Olmsted, died Tuesday, July 20, 1993, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Sept. 14, 1918, at Olmsted, son of Jackson R. and Grace Corzine Britt.

Britt was formerly site superintendent with Noble-Redman Construction Co. He was a member of Olmsted United Methodist Church, Mounds VFW Post, and Disabled American Veterans. He was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Pearl; two daughters, Sue Chandler of Springfield, Kay O'Neil of DeWitt, Iowa; a brother, Marvin Britt of Orange, Calif., and four grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Barkett Funeral Home in Mounds. The Rev. Jesse Bellamy will officiate, with burial in Cache Chapel Cemetery at Ullin.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today.
