ULLIN, Ill. -- Delbert Forest Stoner, 79, died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 1996, at his home.
He was born Nov. 2, 1916, near Ullin, son of O.F. and Lona Ernest Stoner. He and Ludene Baker were married.
Stoner was a member and deacon of the First Baptist Church in Ullin. He was also a member of the Ainad Temple Shrine Club in East St. Louis. He was employed by the Illinois Department of Transportation in Anna, Ill., for 20 years.
Survivors are his wife; a daughter, Beverly Kay Rendleman of Ullin; a sister, Gladys S. Cogger of Ullin; two grandsons; and a great-grandson.
Friends may call at the First Baptist Church from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday and again from 8 to 11 a.m. Friday.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. at the church. The Rev. Mark Best will officiate, with burial in the Ullin Cemetery.
Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge is in charge of arrangements.
