DONGOLA, Ill. -- Delbert C. Hughes, 82, of Sun City, Ariz., died Sunday, Sept. 11, 1994, in Sun City. He was born Nov. 24, 1911, at Dongola, son of J. Frank and Fannie Belle Benson Hughes. He married the former Jeanne J. Coughenour. He was a veteran of World War II, member of Friendship Baptist Church here, and Scottish Rite Bodies El Zaribah Shrine Temple and Sun City Shrine Club...

DONGOLA, Ill. -- Delbert C. Hughes, 82, of Sun City, Ariz., died Sunday, Sept. 11, 1994, in Sun City.

He was born Nov. 24, 1911, at Dongola, son of J. Frank and Fannie Belle Benson Hughes. He married the former Jeanne J. Coughenour.

He was a veteran of World War II, member of Friendship Baptist Church here, and Scottish Rite Bodies El Zaribah Shrine Temple and Sun City Shrine Club.

Survivors include his wife, and a sister, Ruby Jones of Clarinda, Iowa.

Friends may call at 6 p.m. today at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola. Masonic rites by Anna Lodge 520 AF&AM will be at 7:30.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Doyle Keller officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery with military graveside rites by Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455.
