EAST PRAIRIE -- Dee Wolford, 76, of East Prairie, died Sunday, Jan. 12, 1992, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, following an extended illness.
He was born May 24, 1915, in Savannah, Tenn., son of George and Myrtle Miller Wolford. He married the former Nina Mae Rettig.
Wolford was a retired farmer and dragline operator, and member of Nelson United Methodist Church here.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Danny and Eddie Wolford and Reggie and Anthony Martin of East Prairie; five daughters, Carolyn Coffer and Cecelia Swan of East Prairie, Brenda Sipp of Imperial, JoAnn Bell of LaCenter, Ky., Joy Wolford of Tampa, Fla.; two sisters, Emma Jones of East Prairie, Lillie Pickett of Ledbetter, Ky.; 14 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons, a daughter and four brothers.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Chapel here. The Rev. Clinton Wofford will officiate, with burial in Dogwood Cemetery near here.
