DEE-BO OLIPHANT

EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral for Dee-Bo Oliphant of East Prairie will be held at 2 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie. Burl Britt and Thomas Shannon will officiate. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery.

Oliphant, 67, died Thursday, March 16, 2000, at East Prairie Nursing Center.

He was born Sept. 24, 1932, in Mississippi County, son of John W. and Mazy Gilbert Oliphant.

Oliphant was a retired farmer. He lived in Mississippi County all his life.

Survivors include three sons, Rocky Oliphant of St. Louis, Keith Oliphant of Arnold, Richard Oliphant of Holcomb; a daughter, Janet Oliphant of East Prairie; a brother, Hershel Oliphant of East Prairie; two sisters, Shirley Perry of Bertrand, Virginia "Sissy" Reader of Lonedell; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, four brothers and four sisters.
