Lucy Geraldine "Deanie" Ross, 86, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 17, 1930, in Zalma, Missouri, to Charles Elmer and Lucy Anne Rowe Eaker. She and Paul R. Ross were married Oct. 15, 1948, at Cape Girardeau. He died Feb. 22, 1995.
Deanie worked on the assembly line for Superior Electric over 35 years till they closed. She then worked in the cafeteria at Central High School till she retired.
She was a member of Maple United Methodist Church.
She is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Charles; and four sisters, Thelma, Virgie, Aileen and Dorothy.
Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. to noon Friday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
The funeral service will be at noon Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
